My uncle Jim bought Old Yeller, new, when he lived in Portland Oregon. My uncle Huston bought her from Jim and
used her as a farm truck till she bit the dust and left her out in the field. We bought her and spent the last several
years restoring her. It took a lot of time, and money (that's part of why it took so long). My husband is very
proud of her.

We had a ball restoring Old Yeller. It was a real experience, from tracking down parts to finding
people with special expertise to work on her. In the end there were over 10 people who had a hand in her rebirth.

Old Yeller is a 1972 Chevrolet Truck, 3/4 ton, 4 wheel drive. We bought her in the field from my uncle and had
to trailer her home. We fixed her up a little and used her on the farm until we were ready to fix her right. We
started from the frame up and restored everything. It was a very long process and there were times when we thought we
would never get the thing finished.

The only thing Old Yeller needs now is a pretty mule trailer in the same shade of yellow.
We don't consider our mules, horses and ponies a business,
it's all pleasure.
